At this time
of the New Year we make resolutions, promises and we set intentions to become
"new" and better in some way. Last year, one of the resolutions I made was to make better choices when it came to my eating habits. How did I do? Well, I was extremely conscious of the foods I ate and made a real effort to stop and reflect on what I felt like after I chose foods that I knew would affect me in a negative way. I'm not talking about weight gain; I'm talking about an overall feeling of well-being.
My New Year's resolution for 2014 is to be open to the natural Change of life and allow the old to fade in order to renew myself. I Choose to be present and to be aware that life is always taking care of me and there is always something new coming and something old leaving. My highest intention is to connect with who I really am in all situations.
These days we see advertisements, TV commercials, and magazines everywhere selling us the "Secret to Youth". It is not merely wrinkle-free skin and a fit body what we are looking for. Rather it is that feeling of youth, that inner experience, embodied by the young and young at heart, of being carefree and unbound like we wer in our childhood.
Emotionally
we respond not to what we hear, see and receive today but to how it reminds us
of what we heard, saw and received in our past experiences. Erroneously, we call it truth. This is not the way to live in the present moment. In order to stay ever-young,
ever-free and ever-joyful we need to be able to let go.If we get stuck with a desire, an expectation, a grudge, a fear, a misconception, it imprints upon our consciousness, preventing us from seeing that which is new with clear, pure vision.
At this divine time of the New Year there is a great emphasis on newness. It means that the Divine Light should burn through the darkness of that which is old, that which is stale, clearing the way for new birth. When we allow ourselves to be truly renewed in this way day by day, then we be truly forever young regardless of the suppleness of our skin or the color of our hair.
If your intentions for the New Year include vibrant health, more energy and enthusiasm, emotional wellbeing, and renewal. I invite you to let yourself shine like the Sun! Be like the sunshine! . The sun is illuminating all that it touches. You don´t have to do anything or say anything to renew yourself and lift someone up. Just be the light and you will inspire the whole world!. Just be fully present in each moment you live. If you are able to relax and let go,aligning your own nature with the nature of the universe all your needs and desires will be meet before ask .
Wishing you a Happy New Year 2014.
With love and blessings to you and all your loved ones,
Om Shanti
