I think the essence of Yoga is very simple; it is about your happiness. Yoga is not just a physical exercise, it is an authentic holistic tradition. Yoga means unión of the body, mind and spirit with the Divine. Its aim is for you to achieve your fullest potential in life doing whatever you choose to do but with awareness. Allowing yourself to JUST BE , letting go of the patterns and the stories that no longer serve you.
Not needing to perfect any asana Accepting that there is not a "right" way to be in a posture, only a "safe" way for your body Noticing what you are thinking about right now and noticing what you are feeling in your body, right now ....just to experience each asana recognizing that your yoga teacher is human and not to be treated any differently than other person…
Yoga does not require you to believe in a set of principles in order to atain its benefits. On the contrary, the regular practice of yoga naturally generates a healthy belief system. You will gain increased acces to your creativity and intuition and become aware of how your individual thoughts, words and actions influence and are influenced by your enviroment.
Yoga is also Giving to others, both when your life is plentiful and depleted .Giving from the heart and not the ego
Yoga is Non-judgment of others…
